May, 1942. Only five months earlier, the Kido Butai launched an overwhelming attack on Pearl Harbor. The Japanese sunk four battleships, damaged four, destroyed 188 aircraft, and killed 2000 sailors and a hundred Marines.

Since then, the Empire of the Rising Sun has expanded almost without resistance. Now, intelligence intercepts indicate a Japanese invasion of Port Moresbey.

The only two aircraft carriers available are the Yorktown and the Lexington. The Hornet and the Enterprise are still returning from the Doolittle raid on Tokyo.
